Jakob Diepenbrock

Jakob Diepenbrock is the founder and general partner of Discipulus Ventures, a venture capital firm based in El Segundo, California, that invests in hard tech and defense startups serving the national interest. He began his venture career through Steve Ballmer's family office while studying computer science and finance at Northeastern University, before relocating to El Segundo to establish Discipulus around the region's defense-hardware ecosystem. The firm operates an immersive, residency-based cohort program for early-stage technical founders and has raised a debut fund backed by investors including Eventbrite founder Kevin Hartz and venture capitalist Leo Polovets.
