Jessy Lin

Jessy Lin is a co-founder of Engram, a company building a learned memory layer for AI that emerged from stealth in 2026 with $98 million in funding. She is a PhD student at UC Berkeley whose research focuses on language, reinforcement learning, and human-AI interaction, and she developed Active Reading, a method for training models to study material deeply. Prior to Engram, she was a researcher at Lilt Inc. and Meta's FAIR lab, and she completed her undergraduate studies at MIT. Her published work includes contributions to code generation, dialogue systems, and continual learning via sparse memory finetuning.
