Yang Gao

Yang Gao is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS) at Tsinghua University and a Principal Investigator at the Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute. He obtained his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley under the supervision of Professor Trevor Darrell and conducts research at the intersection of computer vision and robotics, focusing on visual reinforcement learning and robot manipulation. In 2023, he co-founded the embodied intelligence company Spirit AI, where he applies his academic expertise to building integrated hardware and software robotic systems.
