Andrea V. Bajcsy

Andrea Bajcsy is an Assistant Professor in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where she directs the Interactive and Trustworthy Robotics Lab (Intent Lab). Her research focuses on the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and AI safety, with particular emphasis on human-robot interaction, safe robot learning, and deployable safety mechanisms. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley in 2022 and joined CMU in Fall 2023 after a postdoctoral fellowship at Berkeley.
