Michael T. Tolley

Michael T. Tolley is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California San Diego, where he directs the Bioinspired Robotics and Design Lab. His research focuses on the design and fabrication of bioinspired robotic systems, including soft robots, origami-inspired printable robots, and systems capable of self-assembly. He is known for developing print-and-fold fabrication methods and untethered soft robots with integrated power and control systems, work that has been published in journals such as Science and Nature.
