Paul Graham

Paul Graham is a British-American computer scientist, essayist, and investor who co-founded the startup accelerator Y Combinator in 2005. He previously co-founded Viaweb in 1995, one of the earliest software-as-a-service companies, which was acquired by Yahoo in 1998 and became Yahoo Store. He is also known for creating the Hacker News forum, developing the Arc and Bel programming languages, and writing influential essays on startups and technology at paulgraham.com. He stepped back from his day-to-day role at Y Combinator in 2014.
