Kelonia Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotech company developing in vivo CAR-T cell therapies using its proprietary iGPS® (in vivo Gene Placement System) platform, which uses engineered lentiviral particles to reprogram T-cells inside the body to attack cancer. Its lead program, KLN-1010, is a BCMA-targeting in vivo CAR-T delivered as a one-time injection for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma, and the company was acquired by Eli Lilly for up to $7 billion in April 2026.
“Eli Lilly alone has announced acquisitions worth more than $20 billion, including two of its biggest deals ever: Centessa Pharmaceuticals, which it bought for $7.8 billion, and Kelonia Therapeutics, for $7 billion.”
“Eli Lilly, like many of its peers, is using its substantial cash from the GLP-1 boom to diversify beyond the obesity market.”
